In knoxville! Rockstar time! XO
I had this song stuck in my head tonight. Maybe it's because I was at Wal-mart and was forced to watch my kid mull over what little Star Wars action figures they had. Have I mentioned lately how much I'm starting to loathe the force? I'm over it and ready for a new hobby to emerge. Anything. Hell, at this point, I'd take BARBIES over Star Wars. It's driving me insane.
Of course my kid can't pick a toy that's readily available and cost efficiant. Oh no. That's just not going to happen. Somehow, someway, he's smartened up on how to actually EMAIL me his wish list online. He's 6 people. Here's a brief list of what he's wanting. Yknow, "Wish List" style. A wish list. Pfft. What happened to pen and paper?! I bet Santa is thanking his lucky stars he took that crash course on computers at the local community college back in the day.
Oh, here's (some) of the list:
-The $500 Lego Death Star
-The $100 AT AT.
-The $89.00 Jengo Fett helmet.
Look man, Santa's on a budget this year due to the economy. I cannot believe Christmas is about 3.5 months away. I feel a panic attack setting in. I feel arthritis banging on the door- because you know as well as I do, that 3 out of 5 relatives will be buying my son lego Star Wars bullshit for Christmas.
And then they'll run like cowards into the night when it's time to piece it together. Leaving me to suffer alone at the kitchen table for 14 hours straight until I give up and scream.
What television show stands the test of time?
Considering that right now my son is enamored with Nick At Night, here's a list of shows that I remember watching on Friday nights, that he's now addicted to. They've stood the test of my time and some of them are still actually just as funny as they were when I was growing up:
1. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Dudes, you know this show is legit!!)
2. Home Improvements (Right now, the season just started, so all the boys are young and Tim has a mullet. AWESOME).
3. Full House (I hate this show, but as a parent you sometimes have to take one for the team).
For me personally, Law & Order and Law & Order SVU will be around forever. Just like NYPD Blue and Homicide: Life on the Streets.
